internet and seo Join our New Technology and Computing ForumsFirstly I want to apologise for the lack of articles over the last 4 weeks. But this has been due to me working on a great new Technology and Computing Forum for the site, which I think will be a great addition to the Blog.

We would love you to register on the Forums (which is free of course) and start posting. We don’t just want members to post when they have a question or need support we would love you to contribute to the community in any way you want.

Already the Forums are going really well but the more members the better, we could turn it into a great little community.

How to Beat Wordpress Comment SpamAnyone who owns a blog knows that comment spammers are constantly trying to leave their spammy links all over your site.

I have tried various methods to try and keep them away over the past few months. Finally I think I have found a winning combination.

To combat Comment Spammers I am using 3 Wordpress plugins. They all do a different job which means my blog has 3 lines of defence against the spammers.

Another thing to remember about the comment spammers is that usually it is an automated process. There is usually a bot doing all the work instead of a human sitting there typing it on every single blog. The bot will be running from a pre-selected database of websites with a pre-selected comment to post, this allows them to hit a huge amount of websites in a small amount of time.

internet and seo Top 10 Posts in the First Quarter of 2010 Well the first quarter of 2010 is almost over so I thought this would be a great time to share the 10 Ten most popular posts of the site.

The site has only been live since December 2009 and is already receiving over 500 unique visitors per day. Which I think is quite good, especially as I am only a part time blogger.

I have based the Top 10 Posts below on the number of views and the number of comments posted. Number 1 is of course being the highest and number 10 being the lowest.

internet and seo Mobile Phone Recycling Comparison ToolLike most people I find the need to buy a new mobile phone every few months, this is either when some amazing new model comes out or when the funds permit.

At one point I had a draw full of old mobile phones which I was not using anymore, I just had to decide what to do with them. I didn’t want to sell them on ebay, purely because of the high ebay and paypal fees.

I started looking at Mobile Phone Recycling Websites, but quickly noticed that different sites were paying different amounts for the different mobile phones.
