Last year I had a major computer failure and lost a few photos that were not backed up (yes I know its no ones fault but my own). Luckily the photos which I had lost were uploaded to Facebook just a few weeks before.
Here comes the problem, I really didn’t want to sit there and download every photo 1 by 1 as there were hundreds. This is when I did some research and came across a great Firefox Add-on called FacePAD.
FacePAD is a Facebook Photo Album Downloader, which gives it the name FacePAD. The great thing about the Firefox Add-on is that it allows you to download photos from your photo albums, your friends photo albums, group photo albums, and event photo albums.
Here is an image of FacePad in the browsers menu when you right click, yes it really is that easy to use:

Once you have installed the Firefox Add-on you need to set the language for the Add-on by going to Tools > Add-ons > FacePAD Preferences/Options. Choose the language that your Facebook is set to.
That’s it you are ready to go. FacePAD will automatically download to the Firefox default download directory. I have set this to my desktop.
To download from your own or friends photo album you simply need to right click on the name of the album and click ‘Download Album with FacePAD’ it will then download all photos from that album to your default Firefox download location.
To download photos from an Event or Group photo album you need to right click on the ‘See All’ link on the main page of the group or event and choose ‘Download Album with FacePAD’ that’s it. Its so simple.
Below is a Video Tutorial for FacePAD:
Well that’s it. Let us know what you think of FacePAD by posting a comment below.

Excellent tool of recovering image files. Data storage and recollection in an urgent situation is very crucial to us. For important files you can save it in your email box. Your computer might be crashed and data can be damaged. But once you save it in your mail box it is there for ever since your email account is active.
Ive found that photobook for the mac is also an excellent tool for downloading photo albums from facebook, check it out.
Very useful add on and just another reason why I love Firefox over certain other web browsers.
