Spotify is a new way to enjoy music. Simply download and install, before you know it you’ll be singing along to the genre, artist or song of your choice. With Spotify you are never far away from the song you want.
There are no restrictions in terms of what you can listen to or when. Forget about the hassle of waiting for files to download and fill up your hard drive before you get round to organising them.
I really wanted to be part of it but sadly in most countries the free accounts are invite only. Luckily I have found a way to bypass this. Simply follow the instructions below and you will be listening to your favourite music in minutes.
1) Simply visit the following site: http://spotify.rejected.se/?proxy
2) Follow the instructions on that site. Which are:
- Enter https://www.spotify.com/uk/account/profile/ in the url field below
- Click on Go
- Click on continue anyway on the blue screen
- Register with preselected country
- Download and install the application
- Log in and edit your profile at spotify.com
- Update your profile with the correct country and zip code
- Start the application, log in and play some music
Once installed you should be greeted with the screen below where you can create your own playlists and listen to them for free. Simply search for the songs you want using the search bar at the top.

Spotify has today launched Spotify Open, which is like Spotify Free but you don’t need an invite, but you can only listen for 20 hours per month.

A great alternative to Spotify is Grooveshark – just google it.
I use GS all the time, and while their database may not be as comprehensive as Spotify… it’s certainly growing with new songs/albums/artists added every day/week.
Plus… there are no advertisements between songs, just a banner down the right hand side.
