When you buy a Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC from the likes of Dell, HP and Acer you will usually find the System Information Screen has been branded with their Logo and Contact Details. This is fine, but maybe you want to change it and add your own Logo? Now you can with my OEM Logo Installer I have created. It will also work with Windows Vista and Windows 7 installs which have not been branded.
The Windows Vista and Windows 7 OEM Logo Installer allows you to add the following to the System Properties Screen:
- Your Own Logo - This can be you Company Logo or an image of you favourite pet.
- Computer Manufacturer Name - Name of Company who built the computer.
- Computer Model Name - The name of your computer
- Support Website - Link to your Company Website.
- Support Hours - Days and Times support line is open.
- Support Phone Number - Support number for your company.
Look at the screen shot below, all the information in the red boxes has been installed with Windows Vista and Windows 7 OEM Logo Installer. I will tell you how to install your own details below.

Windows Vista and Windows 7 OEM Logo Installer Requirements:
- Either Windows Vista or Windows 7
- OEM Logo Installer Package – Download Here or Here or Here
How to Install your Windows Vista or OEM Logo:
- Download the OEM Logo Installer package from above.
- Extract to your Desktop.
- Edit the OEMLogo.bmp file and add your logo, making sure you keep it at 120 x 120px, keep the file format as a .bmp and making sure the file name does not change.
- Open OEMLogo.reg in Notepad and edit the following ONLY:
“Manufacturer”=”YOUR COMPANY NAME HERE”
“Model”=”YOUR COMPUTER MODEL HERE”
“SupportURL”=”YOUR WEBSITE URL HERE”
“SupportHours”=”SUPPORT HOURS HERE”
“SupportPhone”=”SUPPORT PHONE NUMBER HERE”
Save the file when done. If you want to leave out any of the above details just delete the text between the second set of ” marks. - Run the Install.bat file and press any key to continue. When you get a Registry Editor popup just click YES.
- You can now check if your OEM Info has been installed by pressing the
[WINDOWS KEY] + [PAUSE BREAK].
Thats it you should now have your own Windows Vista or Windows 7 OEM Logo Installed on your computer. If you have any problems or questions please post them below and I will do my best to answer them.
Also please let me know if the above download links stop working and I will re-upload.

When I run this I can change all of the info but the logo will not show ?
It’s 120 x 120 Px in BMP format
Verify the logo is in the c:\windows\system32 folder.
Make sure the logo is no more than 24 bit colour. If none of them make a difference please post back.
Hey tried all that no difference. I did notice that when I run the .bat file and I hit any key to continue .. it says access denied and 0 files copied but all of the other info is there in my system info except for the logo.
Tried it a few more times with the running that ,bat file just the reg file … works .. Thanks
Sounds like you need to right click on the Install File and choose “Run as Administrator”
Like the blog – book marked it for future reference – handy way to change the OEM info thanks
Like the blog… Really usefull! But i’ve got the same problem like Cappy.
All OEM info gets copied but the OEM logo won’t. It says in the cmd that I have not the rights to copy the file. When I execute it as an administrator it doens’t work at all…
have some ideas ??
tnx…
Do you have User Account Control Enabled? (UAC)
Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings > Then slide the bar to the bottom.
You may have to restart your computer after you have done this.
Guys, this script works great but you must do a few things first. To start with yes this script must be ran under “Admin” but will not open if you run it as admin. The only way around this issue is to actually disable UAC control then restart, then run the script like you would run it on XP(No admin mode). That is it. Works great for me. Did not use a different logo though.
Excellent, Thank You for letting us know. I am looking for someone to make a GUI for this script, that would make it perfect.
Brilliant little tool, nice work! I would love to make a GUI for you.
For those of you having trouble with displaying the logo, simply copy the logo after your changes to:
“C:/Windows/System32/ ” so the path would look like:
“C:/Windows/System32/OEMLogo.bmp”
Without any quotes ofcourse !
Remember not to change the size or extension (.bmp)
Feel free to make a GUI, I have no problems with that.
Cool will do, might take a while though as I have a lot on at the mo!
Do you have any ideas of the layout and colour scheme?
Something like this would be good:
http://www.tontin.co.uk/images/oemscreen.jpg
That version is for XP.
Logo didn’t work? Mine or Yours, Everything else fine, I’ve even tried doing this in the registry too, no logo GGRRRR…. Help
